Copper Nickel Reducer is a copper nickel pipe fitting used to connect pipes of different diameters in marine and seawater piping systems.  It is used when two pipes with different diameters need to be connected in a marine or seawater pipeline. The reducer helps ensure smooth flow transition, proper pipeline layout and reliable system performance. It is commonly used to reduce or enlarge the pipeline size while maintaining reliable flow performance and corrosion resistance.

Due to excellent resistance to seawater corrosion, erosion corrosion and marine biofouling, good weldability and fabrication performance, copper nickel reducers are widely used in shipbuilding, offshore platforms, desalination plants, seawater cooling systems, fire water systems, ballast water systems and heat exchanger pipelines. In marine piping systems, copper nickel reducers are often installed together with copper nickel pipes, elbows, tees, flanges, stub ends and other fittings.

We supply copper nickel reducers in 90/10 copper nickel C70600 / CuNi10Fe1Mn and 70/30 copper nickel C71500 / CuNi30Mn1Fe materials. Available types include copper nickel concentric reducers, copper nickel eccentric reducers, butt weld reducers and custom fabricated reducers according to project drawings.

Copper Nickel Concentric Reducer VS Eccentric Reducer

Copper Nickel Concentric Reducer

Copper nickel concentric reducer has both ends aligned on the same center line. It is commonly used for vertical pipelines and applications where the pipeline centerline needs to remain unchanged. It provides a smooth and symmetrical transition between two pipe sizes.

Copper Nickel Eccentric Reducer

Copper nickel eccentric reducer has offset center lines between the large end and small end. It is commonly used in horizontal piping systems, especially at pump suction lines or drainage-related pipe arrangements, where it helps reduce the risk of air pockets or liquid accumulation.
