Copper nickel cap is designed to seal the end of copper nickel pipes or piping components. It is commonly used when a pipeline needs to be closed permanently or temporarily for pressure retention, protection, maintenance or future extension. It is widely used in marine seawater piping, shipbuilding, offshore platforms, desalination plants, seawater cooling systems, fire water systems, ballast water systems and heat exchanger pipelines.
Due to the excellent resistance of copper nickel alloys to seawater corrosion, erosion corrosion and marine biofouling, copper nickel caps are widely used in marine and offshore piping systems. In seawater service, copper nickel alloys can form a stable protective layer on the inner surface, helping improve the long-term reliability of the piping system.
Copper nickel caps offer good weldability, formability and fabrication performance. They can be supplied together with copper nickel pipes, elbows, tees, reducers, flanges, stub ends and other fittings for complete marine copper nickel piping projects.
We supply copper nickel caps in 90/10 copper nickel C70600 / CuNi10Fe1Mn and 70/30 copper nickel C71500 / CuNi30Mn1Fe materials. Available types include copper nickel pipe caps, butt weld caps, end caps, fabricated caps and custom caps according to customer drawings or project specifications.

Main Functions of Copper Nickel Cap
Copper nickel caps are mainly used for the following purposes:
Sealing the end of a copper nickel pipeline
Protecting pipe ends from contamination or damage
Closing unused branch connections
Preparing piping systems for pressure testing
Temporary closure during installation or maintenance
Permanent closure for completed pipe sections
Allowing future pipeline extension when required
