DNV Certified Marine Aluminum Profiles
As engineers at Haomei Aluminum specializing in marine aluminum products, we deeply understand the urgent need for lightweight, highly reliable materials in the global shipping industry. Our DNV certified marine aluminum profiles strictly adhere to the DNV-OS-B101:2025 offshore metallic materials standard. Through optimized material formulations and precision manufacturing processes, we achieve a perfect balance between strength and lightweight advantages, providing global shipbuilding companies with core structural materials that meet international standards. Leveraging years of export experience, our products are adapted to various marine environments and ship types, becoming a trusted choice for numerous international shipping companies.

Based on alloy systems and functions, our core marine grade aluminum profiles products encompass two main series. The 5000 series aluminum-magnesium alloy profiles, represented by 5083 and 5086, feature a precisely proportioned magnesium content, providing excellent seawater corrosion resistance, making them the preferred choice for core load-bearing structures such as hulls and decks. The 6000 series aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy profiles (6061 and 6082) are heat-treated for enhanced strength, combining high strength with excellent weldability, and are widely used in ship frames, ribs, and other support structures. Furthermore, customized profiles developed for specific scenarios, such as reinforced U-shaped keel profiles and integrated cabin frame profiles, effectively reduce the complexity of ship assembly.
The specifications of the marine grade aluminum profiles comprehensively cover the mainstream needs of the shipping industry, with cross-sectional dimensions ranging from 50mm×50mm to 300mm×300mm, single-piece lengths up to 12 meters, and thicknesses from 2-20mm customizable. We utilize a 12,000-ton extrusion press to ensure that large-section profiles achieve a density of over 99.5%, and with digital cutting technology, dimensional tolerances are controlled within ±0.5mm, meeting precision assembly requirements. For personalized needs, leveraging a modular mold library, the customization cycle can be shortened to within 7 days, enabling rapid response to customer trial production and bulk order requirements.
Quality control is maintained throughout the entire production cycle, with DNV certification as a core guarantee. Raw materials undergo high-temperature homogenization to eliminate component segregation, and key processes are equipped with online NDT testing to ensure the absence of internal defects such as porosity and cracks. The surface utilizes a composite process of constant-temperature oxidation and electrostatic spraying, resulting in a uniform film thickness of 12-15μm. Salt spray testing demonstrates corrosion resistance exceeding 720 hours, far surpassing the industry average. Finished products undergo testing for 28 indicators, including tensile strength and fatigue resistance. Specifically, the yield strength of the 5083 profile is ≥275MPa, and the dynamic load deformation of the 6082 profile is ≤0.5mm, fully complying with DNV's stringent standards.
Product applications cover all types of civilian and commercial vessels, with successful cases ranging from luxury yachts and offshore patrol boats to 10,000-ton cargo ships. In a 5,000-ton passenger ship project, the use of our 5083 deck profile and 6082 frame profile achieved a 40% weight reduction, a 25% improvement in fuel efficiency, and a 75% reduction in maintenance costs after one year of corrosion-free operation. In small yacht manufacturing, the 5052 decorative profile, combining aesthetics and weather resistance, has become the preferred choice for high-end shipbuilders. For special scenarios such as polar shipping, we can also optimize the alloy formula to improve low-temperature impact toughness and expand application boundaries.
Years of industry experience have taught us that the reliability of marine materials is directly related to navigational safety. Haomei's DNV certified marine aluminum profiles are not only products that meet international standards, but also a guarantee of safety that we provide to the global shipping industry based on our technological strength. We can provide customized material solutions based on our clients' ship parameters and navigation environment, offering full support from selection consultation to post-production technical support, helping clients achieve the dual goals of cost reduction and efficiency improvement, as well as safe operation.
